D. Tenesee T. Wilson was born and raised in Logan Town, a community on the outskirts of Monrovia, Liberia’s capital city. His passion for writing began in elementary school and continued to flourish throughout his academic and professional life.

Following Liberia’s fourteen-year civil war, Tenesee relocated to the United States to pursue higher education and new opportunities. He began his collegiate studies at African Methodist Episcopal University in Monrovia before moving to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he attended Kirkwood Community College. During his time there, he served as a staff writer for the Kirkwood Communiqué, the college’s student newspaper, while earning an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts.

He later transferred to St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Creative Writing. While at St. Cloud State, he wrote for the university newspaper, worked as a radio personality and DJ, and co-founded the Liberian Student Association. He went on to earn a Master of Arts in Strategic Leadership from Bethel University.

As an accomplished writer, Tenesee has authored numerous poems, poetry collections, and a screenplay for a Minnesota-based organization. He is also the author of Heat in Monrovia and Kou: The Girl from Nimba.

His passion for the creative arts led him to establish Roc Citi Sound, an entertainment company specializing in professional DJ, sound production, and event services. Through the company, he also serves as a talent strategist, helping promote and develop Liberian artists and entertainers worldwide. In addition, he shares his insights on social issues, culture, and current events through T-see Opinion, his Facebook commentary platform.

Beyond his literary and entrepreneurial pursuits, Tenesee has built a distinguished career in investigations and currently serves as a Senior Investigator specializing in financial fraud. His diverse experiences as an author, communicator, entrepreneur, strategist, and investigator continue to shape his unique perspective and compelling storytelling.
